Hello! I’m a second-generation Dominican American therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in social Work with a focus on clinical practice. throughout my career, i have gained valuable experience working in mental health clinics and community programs, providing individual, group, and family therapy.
My work in the mental health field and personal experiences have significantly shaped my approach as a therapist. these insights allow me to connect with clients and understand the complexities of their challenges, enhancing my ability to provide compassionate and effective support. I focus on issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, navigating life transitions and stressors, relationship dysfunction, trauma related to family dynamics, domestic violence, and sexual, emotional and physical abuse. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client, drawing on my training in cBT, MBCT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic, Somatic experiencing, and attachment-based therapy.
